Committees are the core of the National Association of Appraisers (NAA), where our essential, value-added activities occur. They provide members the opportunity to contribute significantly to the appraisal industry and to network with peers. The vitality of the NAA relies on the effective and efficient functioning of these committees.

Chair: Jason Covington, MNAA

Committee Duties:

Membership Committee is charged with identifying, recommending and implementing strategies to encourage new and continued membership of Association. The committee also identifies ways to attract and retain the membership and to foster the participation of members. The committee reviews all services offered to Association members, as well as membership recruitment and retention.

The membership committee also recruits NAA Ambassadors. The goal of the NAA Ambassador is to make new members feel welcome and familiarize them with everything NAA has to offer. The idea is to help members meet other members and get involved, and therefore, get the most out of their membership. Ambassadors will also represent NAA at the association’s meetings and conferences.

In general, the issue of Diversity is addressed by the Membership Committee and other committees.
